Ancillary Roofing solutions specialist ICB (Projects) Ltd., has picked up the award for best Green Roof installation at the NFRC Scottish Roofing Contractor of the Year Awards 2017.  

 

 ICB Projects specialises in the installation of value added ancillary products to flat roof constructions like; Solar PV, Green Roofs and Roof Safety Systems. Presented to ICB Projects at The Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow, the prestigious award celebrates the company’s application of their Evagreen green roof system at Carrongrange School in Grangemouth. Carrongrange School, an additional support needs secondary school near Falkirk, required a roof garden which could be used and enjoyed by young people with a wide range of needs.  Working with the school and client Bug’s Life, the 300m² green roof was managed and fitted by ICB Projects and features over 500 plants. “We  are delighted to receive this award for our work in creating a nature-loving space that could be enjoyed by all the children at the school,” said Rob Chivers, Contracts Manager for ICB Projects. “It is testimony to the expertise, professional workmanship and attention to detail that our team demonstrated throughout this project.” Commenting on the awards, Peter Treacy, regional chairman of NFRC in Scotland, said: “We received a high level of first class entries this year which made choosing the winners a very difficult job. The winners, including all finalists, should be very proud of themselves. Their submitted projects demonstrated expertise, innovation and incredible workmanship in roofing in our region.”
